Administers outreach programs that engage, support, and collaborate with the community to develop and expand relationships. Being a Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist serves as the organization's liaison with various constituents and stakeholders. Assists with the coordination of events, managing volunteers, and applying for grants. Additionally, Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The Human Trafficking Outreach and Education Specialist plays a vital role in bringing awareness, outreach, and education services to Merced County. In particular, this role will use a combination of the principles of prevention and community-engagement strategies to promote a culture of anti-human trafficking. This position will foster and build meaningful connections with community members, schools, local organizations and businesses, farmworkers, and survivors. The candidate will accomplish this by providing on-going trainings on Human Trafficking, outreach services to focused populations, and building relationships with communities. This position will also be a part of the on-call program to respond to survivors after hours.
