Buena Vista University seeks an energetic and student-focused Coordinator for Community and Student Engagement who has the desire to make a difference as a member of the student success team. The successful applicant will develop opportunities for students to enjoy entertainment as well as educational programming through the efforts of the Student Activities Board (SAB) and the Department of Community and Student Engagement. The coordinator will take the lead on Homecoming, and Family weekend; and oversee student organizations and our internal events platform, Campus Groups.

Qualified applicants must be highly motivated, creative, flexible, detail-focused, and adaptable to changing environments, and possess excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills. The individual must be available some nights and weekends. A master’s degree in student affairs or a comparable program is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree is required and previous experience in programming is preferred.

A background check will be conducted on the final candidate.
