Job Summary:

Essential Functions:

• Participate in events across South Georgia to develop leads/recruit partner agencies, feeding sites, volunteers, and donors.
• In collaboration with stakeholders, identify communities needing increased capacity to serve clients.
• Build a network of relationships and gain understanding of the opportunities and challenges for each.
• Assist with coordination of holiday and special food box distribution.
• Assist in collection of client stories from programs and agencies.
• Field calls and inquiries from prospective partner agencies and programs.
• Work with partner agencies to increase enrollment of eligible clients in federal and state programs and services.
• Review and monitor active partner agencies as outlined per program.
• Document each monitoring visit with a written report.
• Maintain up-to-date and complete files on partner agencies.
• Certify food pantries, ensuring each keeps regular hours, and submits applicable reports with service information each month to Agency Relations.
• Field and properly direct complaints or concerns regarding agency practices.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities based on situational need.

• Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• At least two years of work in public relations OR of work in a related field.

Physical Requirements:

• Close computer work
• Ability to lift 40 pounds at a time on occasion.

• This position works primarily in a warehouse and office setting.
• Comfortable working in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Must be comfortable in a loud work environment.
• The employee must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
• The employee frequently is required to stop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
