Office staff members are bilingual and demonstrate sociocultural competence to effectively serve all families.

Seeking a bilingual office staff member that demonstrates sociocultural competence and actively works to meet the needs of all families. Ongoing training is provided at the program and district levels to strengthen these skills, and office staff engages in outreach with staff at other schools in the district to share best practices.

General Administration

• Greet all visitors and provide a professional and positive client experience.
• Service visitors by welcoming, directing, and announcing them appropriately.
• Manage main phone line switchboard; answer, screen, and forward all incoming phone calls as appropriate.
• Maintain the front entrance, reception, ensure they are clean and ready for use.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Coordinate paper shredding services as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Community Outreach-

***Goal: Improve the academic success of our Latinx students by supporting their families, and facilitate access to our educational system.***

1. Ensure the communication process with our Latinx families excels.

This includes:

• Review lists of Hispanic Families, contact information, and PowerSchool registration. (whole corporation)
• Attendance for school and Receive, translate, follow up, and inform building attendance secretaries of messages from Latinx parents. (whole corporation)
• Maintain communication through phone, emails, messages, and What's App.
• Refer families to the Director of community engagement when needed, this includes but not limited to: immigration, mental and or physical needs, primary care, and basic needs.
• Follow up with forms, questionnaires, and surveys.
• Follow up with teacher-parent day-to-day communication needs.

2. Collaborate with the Director of Community Engagement. ***Goal: Improve the academic success of our Hispanic students by focusing on the acculturation process of their families.***

• Access Site
• Support Latinx Community Coalitions and share information with our parents.
• Support and promote Bilingual Storytime and Café en el Parque
• Support bilingual after-school programming

Qualifications:

• English and Spanish
• High school or equivalent
• Customer Service: 1 year

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday-Friday
• Weekend availability
