Community Health Director is responsible for developing plans for community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of health. Recommends community health initiatives, policy implications and best practices after reviewing health literature and statistics. Being a Community Health Director identifies community health program related grant funding and develops grant proposals. Manages specific community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Additionally, Community Health Director requires a master's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a top management. The Community Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. A Kaniksu Community Health Clinical Director of Behavioral Health is not just responsible for providing excellent customer service. They are committed to providing an excellent patient experience while performing essential clinical or administrative work in a fast-paced, productive environment. YOU ARE an essential team member charged with assisting patients in managing their care at Kaniksu Community Health.
Under the direction of the KCH Director of Psychology and as a member of the Kaniksu Community Health Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Team, a typical day of a Clinical Director might include but not limited to;
Supervising trainees and interns at the Masters and Doctoral level, evaluating counselor performance, developing clinical service and training opportunities for the agency, staffing the counseling center, and representing Kaniksu in the community. In addition, the Clinical Director shares responsibility for developing, planning and implementing strategies for program continuation and growth. Responsibilities also include providing clinical training to counselors, program staff, and agency collaborative partners. This position provides clinical and administrative supervision of the clinical staff and clinical consultation when necessary.
