    A Kaniksu Community Health Clinical Director of Behavioral Health is not just responsible for providing excellent customer service. They are committed to providing an excellent patient experience while performing essential clinical or administrative work in a fast-paced, productive environment. YOU ARE an essential team member charged with assisting patients in managing their care at Kaniksu Community Health.

    Under the direction of the KCH Director of Psychology and as a member of the Kaniksu Community Health Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Team, a typical day of a Clinical Director might include but not limited to;

    Supervising trainees and interns at the Masters and Doctoral level, evaluating counselor performance, developing clinical service and training opportunities for the agency, staffing the counseling center, and representing Kaniksu in the community. In addition, the Clinical Director shares responsibility for developing, planning and implementing strategies for program continuation and growth. Responsibilities also include providing clinical training to counselors, program staff, and agency collaborative partners. This position provides clinical and administrative supervision of the clinical staff and clinical consultation when necessary.

    Essential Functions of the Position:

    • Supervise and oversee all aspects of the counseling clinic. Evaluate existing contract compliance, monitoring and reporting to ensure all goals are being met.
    • Work effectively with staff to maintain an efficient system of service delivery meeting standards with a mind to accessibility and quality.
    • Hiring, supervision, evaluation, scheduling, promotion, corrective action of behavioral health staff.
    • Develop, plan and implement strategies to manage program growth and ensure self-funding and sustainability of the program. Ensure compliance for grant funding.
    • Work with other members of the management team to assure successful communication and coordination between all programs, and participate in strategic planning.
    • Provide care in an integrative care setting and ensure Idaho Medicaid compliance.
    • Regularly provide or delegate clinical training staff.
    • Must be reliable and consistent.
    • Represent the values, mission, and behaviors of Kaniksu.
    • Must have an attitude of friendliness, collaboration, mutual respect and be able to communicate with all levels within the organization.
    • Maintain positive working relationships with Kaniksu staff and patient clients.
    • Provide biopsychosocial assessment, treatment planning, and evidence based treatment to patient clients as needed.

    Qualifications Needed to Land this Gig:

    • Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Idaho who is a state approved supervisor.
    • Non-profit or for-profit program management experience, including staff supervision, and clinical supervision helpful.
    • Proven experience managing challenging clinical situations and crisis.
    • Current knowledge of the major theoretical orientations, techniques and practices used in the fields of psychotherapy and psychological assessment.
    • Experience and confidence identifying and implementing evidence based practices.
    • Experience and an interest in working in community mental health with our most vulnerable populations.
    • Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
    • Experience with program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Word, Excel and customized electronic health record databases and telehealth systems.
    • Commitment to the ethics of the profession and upholding legal statutes related to your profession and policies of Kaniksu.
    • Understanding Kaniksu’s mission and culture and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff, patient clients, and the public in all circumstances.
    • Employment contingent upon clear fingerprint and criminal history record and background check.
    • Good interpersonal skills, ability to relate well with persons from a variety socioeconomic and cultural groups.
    • Carry out other duties as determined by the leadership team, of which you will be a part of.
