Networks with community leaders and officials to raise awareness of specific social or environmental issues. Being a Community Organizer plans and devises action plans to access resources. Organizes community members to work toward a common goal supported by staff and volunteer workers. Additionally, Community Organizer may require a bachelor's degree. We're looking for a individual passionate about social justice and making meaningful changes inside of the community. The Community Organizer will be trained by the Program Director and Executive Director on how to organize, base build and do community assessments. The community organizer will help to build a base of parents and students as grassroots leaders through community engagements, trainings and workshops. The CO will be responsible for making sure that community know what services and support the organization offers.

Although no training is needed, the ideal candidate will have some experience in volunteering, social justice or community organizing, be highly motivated, and a creative individual who has a vision for community development in line with our organization's philosophy.
