Compensation Director jobs in Massachusetts

Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • Job Description: As a Director of Compensation, you will be a member of the Enterprise Compensation Executive Compensation and Shareholder Services team. In this role you will help lead the strategy, analysis, and implementation of our executive compensation programs across the enterprise. The Team As a member of Fidelity’s compensation team, you will work with – and learn from – the best professionals in the industry as you help support our compensation philosophy and programs. In this role you would lead the compensation functional communications, engage with executives that have share program inquiries and process related changes, and lead the team on executive projects and analytical requests. The Compensation function works in a cross-functional way with enterprise and BU aligned team members all working toward supporting Fidelity’s compensation philosophy. You would work collaboratively with both compensation team members as well as partners in HR, legal, accounting, and tax. The Expertise You Have Bachelors or equivalent 8 years of experience in compensation/sales compensation and/or finance/business preferred Strong executive presence Ability to work across a large organization and implement quickly against multiple priorities Ability to build relationships and consult with all levels of the organization Strong program/project management skills The Skills You Bring You have strong organization and attention to detail skills You have excellent verbal and written communication skills You have deep analytical skills with an ability to break down complex questions / data into well-structured analyses, and synthesize key points You effectively manage concurrent programs, processes and initiatives collaborating with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders and have a proven ability to think end-to-end about the work to be implemented.
