This position at Booking Holdings (BHI) will play a lead role in the Compensation team, driving best-in-class compensation-related policies, processes, and support to Booking Holdings leadership and employees.
The role is responsible for managing a small team to support business leaders with all compensation needs. The Compensation Manager will lead the design and administration of compensation policies, and manage the budget/forecast process in partnership with Finance and collaboration with the compensation leads at our sister brands. This position plays a crucial role in identifying and leading opportunities for improvement and ensuring compensation policies align with business goals.
In this role you will get to:
Lead a team of two to deliver best-in-class compensation policies & practices for supported client groups in the US and overseas
Manage the career level hierarchy and job evaluation process, leveraging Mercer’s International Position Evaluation (IPE) tool to determine appropriate career levels
Support HR Business Partners on compensation-related issues and work closely with Talent Acquisition in the offer process
Manage annual compensation planning process in Workday in partnership with the HR Advisory team
Manage annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process (base pay, bonus, equity)
Manage our market pricing process to establish market-appropriate salary ranges for our employees as well as leverage market data to make recommendations for annual merit budgets and promotional increase budgets
Lead various ad hoc compensation projects from planning and implementation to execution. Projects include, but are not limited to identifying gaps/areas for improvement in current processes, implementing new policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws
Manage cross-brand projects in partnership with compensation leaders at the brands and our Centers of Excellence (COE) in Romania and India
What you have:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years of Compensation experience
Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks with competing deadlines
Experience with Executive Compensation
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Ability to problem solve in ambiguous situations
Customer focus with the ability to influence stakeholders
Proven ability to use discretion in dealing with confidential information
Knowledge of legislation impacting compensation (e.g. FLSA, pay transparency)
Experience managing a team is a plus
Experience with Mercer IPE is a plus
Experience with Workday is a plus
Experience with Google Suite is a plus
CCP is a plus
Public company experience is a plus
Experience with equity-based long-term incentives a plus

The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $139,500-$170,500.
