Compensation Manager leads the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, policies, and procedures. Manages common compensation functions, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, pay program administration and other associated initiatives. Being a Compensation Manager ensures that base pay, incentive pay and performance management programs remain competitive and conform to current compensation strategy. Directs data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Manager requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     This role will lead a team responsible for the design, oversight and administration of compensation programs, including annual market survey analysis and recommendations; annual merit cycle; bonus planning; sales compensation and on-going metric analytics. In addition, this role may manage other Total Rewards programs and initiatives. This role will develop the framework and guidelines around corporate compensation programs and policies.

    Job Duties Include:
    • Manages the annual planning process to identify company-wide priorities and develop or refresh compensation framework, policies and processes.
    • Manages the design, implementation and administration of multiple company compensation programs, including annual merit planning, bonus planning, sales compensation structure and design.
    • Designs and implements moderate to complex company-wide compensation initiatives. Provides support through analysis and solution development on specific comp issues
    • Manages the development and communication of company-wide training materials for delivery across the Organization.
    • Provides strategic analysis, advice, and education to executives and managers on broad human resources and organizational issues of a highly sensitive and complex nature. Directs the establishment of policies and practices that have Company-wide impact.
    • Ensures compliance with current laws, regulations, and contract provisions.
    • Supports executive compensation decisions and processes including Equity management
    • Monitors compensation guidelines and procedures
    • Assists in annual compensation budget process
    • Manages the annual salary surveys process and vendor selection
    • Maintains current knowledge of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance
    • Manages job benchmarking and market analysis evaluations and makes recommendations for existing, new or changing jobs in accordance with appropriate compensation policies and guidelines
    • Keeps current on trends and market practices in order to implement process improvements and support the overall compensation philosophy
    • Manages issues on titling, levelling, and pay based on a consistent methodology and structure; maintains pay structures
    • Provides consultation and support to management and HR Partners
    • Manages job related data such as job codes, FLSA status, incentive targets and other job related data
    • Provides presentations to varied audiences.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelors/Masters’ Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field
    • Must have a minimum of 8 years of compensation experience.
    • Strong aptitude and proficiency with excel is required while report writing, Visio and SharePoint experience is strongly preferred. Professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills a must

    Desired Qualifications:
    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
    • Proficient in conducting compensation research, analyzing information and data, problem solving and presenting findings in a concise format
    • Experience in HRIS utilization preferred
