Reads and interprets technical blueprints and design models and inputs the product design into the computer modeling software. Being a Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer adjusts machine settings to the desired product specifications, and troubleshoots and maintains the machine. Utilizes G or M code and CAM software (MasterCAM,CAMWorks or others). Additionally, Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer tests accuracy of settings and programs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. This is a full-time position in our warehouse facility.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, and grinding
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy using precision measuring instruments
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and ensure efficient workflow
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience operating CNC machines is required
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines is preferred
- Experience with quality control techniques, including GD&T, is beneficial
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
