Position Summary | This position involves activities of an assigned shift of personnel engaged in the operation and monitoring of data center facilities and related infrastructure equipment, such as HVAC, electrical grid, emergency backup UPS and generator systems, water/leak detection equipment, security and fire suppression systems, as well as research and enterprise servers, core networking services, and related services and equipment. Assist with installing server racks, cabinets, servers, storage devices, and network devices. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating those activities; the resolution of complex error situations with and without additional technical or supervisory assistance; making recommendations regarding new or improved service routines and production schedules. Work is performed alongside other shift personnel and subject to review by the Operations and Infrastructure leadership through conferences and evaluation of results obtained. |
