Job Description
The Concrete Finisher works as part of a crew pouring, spreading, and finishing concrete surfaces.
Duties and responsibilities include:
· Ability to operate or initiative to learn to operate other equipment required on a concrete crew.
· Assist other crew members as needed.
Requirements:
· Ability to learn how to use and handle tools and equipment.
· Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on duty. PPE includes; safety vest, gloves, hard hat and work boots.
· Maintain safety as top priority in accordance with company safety rules.
· Drug test required.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· Be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Be able to sit for long periods of time while operating equipment.
· Be able to climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
· Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday starting at 5:30 a.m. This position is at least 40 hours per week with required overtime. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule and location changes.
Travel
May have to travel within 100-mile radius.
