  • Job Overview:

    The Loan Officer will initiate the mortgage process for potential clients, preparing, analyzing,

    and verifying mortgage loan applications for the purchase or refinance of real estate. We are

    seeking an experienced loan officer to serve as the preferred lender for a network of 80 real

    estate agents. In addition, the Loan Officer will be required to work on a database of over

    100,000 leads to identify purchase and refinance opportunities in the local market. To qualify for

    this unique opportunity, you must be a licensed loan originator and have a track record with

    purchase loans and have extensive product and credit knowledge. If you have an established

    record and your goal is to double your total loan production within the 12 months this is the

    perfect opportunity.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • May assist with training new mortgage officers.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Meets with and interviews potential and current clients to understand their lending

    needs including first-time mortgages and refinance of existing loans.

    • Explains the differences between and approval requirements of various types of

    mortgages; prepares and presents a lending package based on client specifications.

    • Assists clients with completion of mortgage applications, inspecting completed

    documents for accuracy and thoroughness.

    • Reviews loan applications, gathers credit histories and reports, and assesses

    applicants’ capacity to repay and default risk.

    • Based on predetermined requirements, assesses, and grants or rejects mortgage

    applications.

    • Views or visits property for real estate purchase or refinance.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the local real estate market;

    current and predicted lending rates; and changes in rules, regulations, and best

    practices of various mortgages.

    LOAN OFFICER OUTSIDE SALES

    • Develops and maintains contacts with local realtors, developers, and builders to

    promote and encourage the use of bank services for residential mortgages.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Active NMLS License.
    • At least 3 years of experience.
    • At least $3 million in production volume in the last 12 months.
    • Engage assigned real estate agents and provide exceptional service.
    • Eager to engage with company provided leads.

    LOAN OFFICER OUTSIDE SALES

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred, not required.
    • One to three years of prior experience in lending or related field preferred.

    Work Experience

    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Thorough understanding of Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Veterans Affairs (VA),

    Federal National Mortgage (Fannie Mae), and other types of construction and

    conventional loans.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
