  • Position Summary

    This position allows for an optional hybrid work arrangement which includes a combination of both in-office and remote work on a weekly basis. To be eligible for the program, employees must complete a minimum of 90 days of continuous employment, be in good standing, and agree to the terms of a Work from Home Agreement prior to being eligible for hybrid work.  The employee’s request is subject to supervisor approval. Working locations and hybrid schedules may be altered at management discretion.

     

     

    The Consumer Loan Processor position is a dynamic and challenging role where you will be working in a fast-paced environment and work closely with our branches, underwriters and other departments. The Consumer Loan Processor is responsible for processing approved collateral loan, personal loan, and visa loan applications ensuring the accuracy and quality of the loan documents. Funding loans and reviewing documentation for accuracy are key job functions. 

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Manages a large queue of loan applications for the Branch Network, Lending Center and Outbound Lending Center. 2. Ensures all paperwork is completed properly.  Provides required documents to branch personnel and/or members for completion, review and execution.  Maintains loan files according to retention and electronic filing guidelines.  Indexes files utilizing electronic system for easy retrieval.  3. Verifies critical borrower and loan information is on record and accounted for.4. Disburses loan proceeds to members following the completion of loan documents and verifying execution. 5. Demonstrates an ability to meet and exceed established department production, service and quality goals.6. Serves as a subject matter expert pertaining to the consumer lending process and corresponding loan documentation.  Responds timely to loan questions from internal staff. 7. Collaborates with team members to provide effective and efficient service to our members.8. Proposes enhancements to process and or procedures in order to improve efficiency and/or the quality of results.

    Other Responsibilities

    1. Reviews and clears stipulations by collecting and verifying additional member information to meet underwriting standards. 2. Develops, maintains, and demonstrates a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal government rules.  Adheres to policies that govern the position.3. Ability to successfully perform loan servicing functions as needed.  4. Follows all Launch Credit Union policies and procedures.5. Checks e-mails for updates and responds timely.6. Completes assigned compliance training in a timely manner.7. Attends meetings and training sessions as required.8. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education, Experience, and Skills Required

    1. A high school diploma or GED.2. Minimum of three years’ customer service experience required. One year's experience in consumer lending processing/closing preferred. 3. Consistently demonstrates a courteous, tactful and professional approach when dealing with dealers, members and internal staff in accordance with established customer service standards and demonstrates concern and respect for others in all interactions, inspiring trust and confidence.4. Must be organized and have the ability multitask while paying close attention to detail. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.5. Ability to work within a team environment.  Consistently demonstrates self-motivation and independent problem-solving skills, requiring only minimal direct supervision, in order to maximize individual productivity and efficiency.  6. Must be knowledgeable or ability to quickly learn the credit union products and services including the various types of loan products. Has an understanding of the paperwork that is required for each loan and how to read a credit report.7. Ability to learn and understand the applicable regulations. 8. Modifies behavior or methods in order to adjust to quickly changing environments and reorganizes workload in order to promptly accommodate critical tasks.
