Additionally, Consumer Loan Servicing Clerk monitors escrow payments and tracks delinquencies. Researches customer and internal inquiries and delivers a response or solution. Maintains required electronic files and system inputs. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Consumer Loan Servicing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Our Loan Servicing team is hiring, working onsite at our Latham office, 1187 Troy Schenectady Road.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-4:30pm
Starting pay, $21/hr based on experience.
This position assists members and staff with questions regarding loan payments, processes payments, loan advances and Skip a Pay offers. Balances daily transactions and disburses checks when necessary. Processes GAP Claims. Assist in reviewing and processing requests for our third-party portfolios to ensure members needs and concerns are addressed. Transfer loans to new membership accounts per member requests. Maintains and updates loan files; Reviews and processes rate adjustments when necessary. Maintains contact with outside vendors during processing stage as needed. Verifies vendor billings. Processes, maintains and updates the electronic lien filing system (FDI) and the filing of UCC1’s to ensure we have the proper collateral for our loan portfolio including processing Lien Releases and Titles in suspense.
Provides Home Equity payoff letters, including the typing of necessary paperwork, processing Discharge of Mortgages and tracking the receipt of recorded mortgages. Assists as need to respond to Consumer Credit Disputes within E-Oscar. Assists as needed to provide staff with permissions for Loans PQ, Xpress Accounts, Xpress Collect, Midwest, and AFG. Is also responsible for user resets and deletion of employees when they leave the credit union. Scans miscellaneous documentation to Imaging System.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of High School Diploma/GED or higher and prior banking experience. Must be well organized, strong attention to detail, acclimate well with technology and be a strong communicator.
