Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team at Richmond Spine Interventions and Pain Center as a Medical Scheduler. As a Medical Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating patient appointments, triaging patient calls, creating patient cases and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This is an administrative position that requires proficiency in medical scheduling systems and excellent communication skills.
Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments using Athena EMR.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient scheduling and minimize wait times for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical information
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients regarding appointments, procedures, and general information
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, fielding patient issues, triaging phone calls.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure seamless patient care
Experience:
- Previous experience in medical scheduling or a related administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using medical scheduling systems such as Athena, Epic, and Meditech is a plus.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
-Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment is a must
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
