CopyWriter - Digital jobs in Wisconsin

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM with a half-hour lunch or 5 PM with an hour lunch. This position requires 40 hours a week depending on workload.

Role Responsibilities:

• Create precise, engaging, and captivating product descriptions tailored for diverse e-commerce platforms such as Wayfair, Amazon, Target, Walmart.com, Overstock.com, and more
• Update and maintain the product attributes in the content management system
• Write/edit blog posts, buying guides, landing page descriptions, and informational pages for our website
• Conduct product research in areas such as target audience, market trends, and competition to develop marketing content
• Create enhanced graphical content using Adobe suite
• Work closely with the marketing and purchasing department to align strategies and goals around product content
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in copywriting and digital marketing
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Degree in English, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Relocation to Eau Claire, WI
• Proficiency with software such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs (particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading, writing, and editing skills
• Adaptable to changes
• Willingness to take initiative when necessary
• Collaborative and willing to work as part of a team
• A positive and passionate attitude

Secondary Qualifications:

• Strong visual storytelling skills to create engaging visuals that tell a story about the brand and product
• Strong understanding of branding to incorporate brand elements into web media
• Prior experience as a copywriter (or equivalent role)
• Prior experience as a graphic designer for web applications (or equivalent role)
• Familiar with Amazons enhanced brand content
