Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Giving Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Title: Director of Donor Relations

    Location: Remote

     

    To secure funds for the organization. This position will research and identify, then qualify interested parties as donors. They will then ensure that as many as possible are retained as continuing donors to the organization and are upgraded in their giving and involvement. The benefit of this position will be helping donors find satisfaction in fulfilling their passions and interests through giving to Corporate Chaplains of America. This position will develop relationships with major gift donors, defined as those capable of making $5000 gifts annually.

    Responsibilities

    • Will qualify and cultivate a group of major donors with an emphasis on non-ecosystem prospects• Will create individual goals for each donor based on the donor's history of giving and knowledge of that donor's potential• Create a plan for each donor that will serve as a foundational communication and marketing plan for each person on the caseload. Will faithfully and on a timely basis execute that plan so individuals on the caseload are retained and upgraded.• Develop and nurture CCA’s Major Donors• Manage effective systems for tracking and cultivating donors and prospects through the Salesforce• Maintain donor files in compliance with the CCA Privacy Policy• Will create weekly and monthly reports as required by management that accurately reflect activity and performance• Expect to travel more than 50%• Will perform other donor relations activities as may be required• Lead or participate in Biblical devotions, worship, and group prayer• Support the ministry of CCA through regular intercessory prayer• Conduct Biblical training for owners and employees with permission• If Ordained, conduct funeral services and provide Biblical counseling when appropriate with Owners, employees, and their families

    Qualifications

    • Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and calling of God to the ministry of corporate chaplain services• Commitment to CCA’s Christian mission• Agreement with CCA’s Statement of Faith• Alignment with CCA’s Core Values and Missionary Mindset• Willingness and ability to respect CCA’s other Christian beliefs and abide by CCA’s Christian community standards• Active participation in a local Christian church.• Demonstrated personal integrity and lifestyle in keeping with an active and mature Christian walk of faith.• Ability to find and qualify donors that represent the significant giving potential for the organization• Ability to create reasonable financial goals for each donor, which is based on the donor's giving and the potential.• Ability to create a personal contact and ask plan that considers the individual donor's interest, motivations, giving patterns and ask preferences, for each donor in a timely and cost-effective manner, and retains and upgrades donors.• Ability to secure project and organization information and create/ write effective offers, proposals and asks. Ability to secure information for feedback to donors to report on how their money was used.• Ability to create timely reports that reflect performance.• Possess excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication. • Ability to successfully communicate the CCA story with passion for our mission• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment• Possess a positive attitude• Ability to "think outside the box"• Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE• Bachelor’s Degree• Denominational Ordination, preferred• 1-3 Years Client Relations/Donor Relations experience
