Corporate Giving Manager identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and develops strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Manager manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops and launches employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Manager maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Giving Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Hybrid 50/50 (after 90-day initial training period)


    Status & Classification:    Regular | Full-Time | Non-Exempt 


    Payrate:    $24 ~ $29/hour (depending on experience) 


    Work Schedule:    Monday ~ Friday* | 9am ~ 5pm*
    *This position accommodates a flexible work schedule including occasional evenings, weekends, special events, and overnight/out-of-town travel as required.

    Founded in 1994 on the former Lowry Air Force Base in east Denver's historic Lowry Field neighborhood, Wings Over the Rockies is a non-profit community organization dedicated to unlocking dreams of flight through exhibits, local events, and educational programming. We are Colorado’s premier Air & Space Museum having been recognized by CNN Travel as one of their 20 Best aviation museums in the world. Each year we welcome roughly 160,000 visitors representing all 50 states and dozens of countries internationally. Wings is committed to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.     Exploration of Flight (EoF) is our flight-focused educational extension. This 15-acre campus is located at the Centennial Airport where we offer showcase events with a variety of aircraft, aviation immersion programs, pilot ground training, and flight experiences. EoF is home to our Blue Sky Gallery exhibit and interactive aviation center featuring an airworthy fleet of civilian and military aircraft.


    Summary

    The Corporate Giving & Sponsorship Manager is responsible for securing corporate sponsorships and supporting the Director of Development with planning, implementation, execution, tracking, and reporting. This position focuses on strategic sponsorship initiatives aimed to raise brand awareness, support our non-profit mission, strengthen the organization’s market position, and secure vital resources that fund our program activities. The Corporate Giving & Sponsorship Manager identifies potential sponsors, creates corporate sponsorship proposals, sells sponsorship opportunities to industry businesses, and executes sponsorship activation components. They help cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with local business leaders, community partners, and corporate philanthropists. The Corporate Giving & Sponsorship Manager is a member of the Development department reporting to the Director of Development. They work closely with the Volunteers & Program Officer, Annual Fund & Membership Manager, Major Gifts Officer, and inter-departmentally with Curatorial, Marketing, Corporate Events, and Education.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners through phone calls, written communication, and in-person meetings
    • Research, identify, qualify, and prioritize new potential corporate funders and develop proposals to secure their support
    • Develop and implement strategies to secure corporate giving, donations, and sell sponsorship packages
    • Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical requirements and adhere to The Donor Bill of Rights
    • Cultivate gifts from corporate donors and collaborate with development team on events and gatherings, the development of proposals and pitches, prospect research, and lead generation
    • Maintain a database of corporate sponsors and donors
    • Identify opportunities for frequent and personalized donor communications
    • Negotiate and manage sponsorship agreements and serves as a liaison with corporate partners on sponsorship execution
    • Monitor, report, and measure the success of sponsorship and donation campaigns
    • Utilize data and feedback to continuously improve sponsorship strategies and offerings
    • Regularly assess the performance of sponsorship programs and initiatives, providing detailed reports and insights
    • Support and attend various networking events and gatherings in support of donor relations

    Working Conditions

    Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum operates in an 80-year-old aircraft hangar. Exploration of Flight is located at a busy regional airport. Environmental conditions may vary.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • At least two (2 ) years of work experience in a sales-related field (preferably with non-profit organizations)
    • Charismatic and personable when working with stakeholders of all ages and backgrounds
    • Experience with Altru (Blackbaud) donor management software a plus
    • Phenomenal written, phone, and verbal communication skills
    • Non-profit, Museum, or other cultural institution experience preferred
    • Superb customer service, professional demeanor, and exemplary interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to work independently and with variety of diverse teams
    • Strong computer and technological experience including CRM and database management
    • Excellent critical thinking and tactical skills
    • Highly motivated, pleasantly persistent, able to handle rejection, and leads by example
    • Ethical and reliable with a positive demeanor and proactive outlook
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite and Google Workspace
    • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to corporate giving and sponsorship including The Donor Bill of Rights
    • Demonstrated project management and community outreach experience
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with an attention to detail
    • Familiarity with the mission of Wings Museum including our exhibits and programs
