Corporate Giving Manager identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and develops strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Manager manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops and launches employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Manager maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. JOB/POSITION TITLE: Manager of Major Gifts and Planned Giving
STATUS: Exempt
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Manager of Major Gifts and Planned Giving works with the Director of Development to develop and implement a strategy targeting individuals capable of making significant annual contributions of $10,000 or more to support the mission. Balancing new initiatives with a focus on West Oahu while supporting and honoring our existing donors.
The Manager of Major Gifts and Planned Giving is responsible for identification of prospective donors as well as qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and creative stewardship of a portfolio of existing donors. Working with the Director of Development, leads the planned giving program and Helen Kinau Wilder Legacy Society.
