Corporate Giving Manager identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and develops strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Manager manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops and launches employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Manager maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Giving Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Corporate Development Manager is a critical leadership role on the team focused on enabling the realization of our company strategy through the execution of organic and inorganic opportunities (e.g., acquisitions, strategic partnerships).

    The Corporate Development Manager will drive growth guided by a clear investment thesis. This leader will own the deal funnel, conduct market scans to identify potential opportunities, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to conduct analysis and diligence. In addition to managing the end-to-end deal process, this individual will be responsible for developing deal terms and making recommendations concerning which deals to pursue.

    Duties Include:

    • Identify opportunities and develop business cases to support the strategy of the organization through mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
    • Conduct market scans and develop acquisition target lists; develop and nurture external relationships to aid in potential target identification and deal flow
    • Lead detailed research, valuation and financial analysis to support and inform investment decisions; build and maintain operating and valuation models
    • Coordinate cross-functional diligence efforts, deal negotiations, and planning
    • Develop executive and board level materials to support deals, communicate learnings, and recommend company actions

    Qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (Required)
    • Pursuing or completed Masters level degree (Preferred)
    • Additional certifications such as CPA, CFA, ASA/FSA (Preferred)
    • 2 years of business experience in the domain of investment banking, equity research, corporate development, strategy consulting, or similar quantitatively focused role.
    • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the insurance industry, market dynamics, and current trends, and ability to identify ways to leverage “synergies” to create more value.
    • Demonstrate a strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret and analyze financial data to generate, evaluate, and act on strategic options and opportunities; ability to develop financial projections, proforma financial statements, and valuation models.
    • Able to work independently and within teams; takes active ownership and accountability to deliver results aligned to team goals.
