Corporate Secretary executes and maintains all required official corporate filings, documents, reports and records according to applicable laws and regulations. Responsible for shareholder relations, communicating with Board members and coordinating shareholder lists and registrations. Being a Corporate Secretary researches and responds to shareholder requests for information. Manages the coordination of Board and shareholder meetings and the preparation of all necessary agendas and documents required for the meetings. Additionally, Corporate Secretary the incumbent in this role is usually an officer of the corporation. May require a Juris Doctor degree. Typically reports to top management. About the Position:
Provides secretarial assistance to the Assistant Principals, the Principal, and staff. Assist in day-to-day front office operations. Track and log daily student absences, tardiness, and dismissals with reasons for absence in PowerSchool; answer and appropriately direct telephone calls. Perform general clerical functions (copying, faxing, mailings, etc.). Assist in monitoring students sent to the office for disciplinary reasons. Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by either the building Assistant Principals, the Principal or the Superintendent of Schools.
Qualifications:
High school diploma is required. Associate degree or beyond preferred. Successful candidate will have excellent people skills; be familiar with general office procedures; have a strong working knowledge of Google, MS Office - including Excel; and the ability to work with students and staff in a busy office environment. Experience with PowerSchool and a school setting preferred.
What We Offer:
This is an hourly, non-exempt position: 190-day school year (student school days plus 5 days before student start date in August and 5 days following student end date in June), 7 hours/day; hourly pay rate based on qualifications and experience; competitive benefits offering.
