As the leader of the department with over 30 direct reports, the Nurse Manager Critical Care will be a resource and advocate to their team through utilizing an open door policy, coaching and mentoring staff, creating a team oriented and collaborative working environment, being a transparent communicator, and initiating disciplinary action as needed. The Critical Care Nurse Manager is also accountable for managing the budget, assuring compliance to all standards policy and procedures, creating quality performance improvement initiatives, and preparing all accreditation and surgery material in a timely manner.
