Curriculum Manager manages the design and development of training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Oversees skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Manager consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Manager provides outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Participates in the selection of software or collaboration tools used for training. Establishes metrics used to evaluate training effectiveness and analyzes outcomes to determine ROI and recommend changes to programs. May select and manage vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Curriculum Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Curriculum Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Curriculum Manager is a Full-Time position located in the Bronx main office responsible for ensuring compliance within all education protocols across each applicable regulatory body. The Curriculum Manager needs to hold a thorough command of early childhood development and maintain a rigorous understanding of key assessment tools and curricula (these included but are not limited to the Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies Gold, CLASS, ECERS). The Manager is responsible for collaborating and communicating effectively with other program staff to help ensure successful integration of service areas across the organization, as well as communicating timely updates and assessments of progress to the Vice President of Early Childhood Services (VP of ECS).

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and/or Early Childhood Special Education; Master’s Degree preferred
    • NYS Teacher’s Certification (Birth through Grade 2)
    • 5 years classroom experience, 2 years supervisory experience
    • Solid understanding of the early childcare industry

    • Support continuous professional development amongst center-based staff
    • Understanding and supporting above all else the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of students to maintain maximum program capacity
    • Demonstrating flexibility in the scope of work, supporting center-based staff with tours and marketing efforts as needed.
    • Any new or modified functions as delegated by his/her immediate supervisor within the scope of work and position.
