Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Grocery Stocking Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our day and night stocking employees. The Grocery Stocking Supervisor will be responsible for managing employees, training staff, working with the Government at the Kaneohe Bay Commissary, and maximizing employee productions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stocking, warehousing, floor care and working on a military base for the Commissary. The individual will need to have communication skills, leadership, minor math and have a valid driver's license and vehicle with valid insurance.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. High School Diploma (perferred)

2. One-two years in the commissary or grocery store stocking or warehouse.

3. Must understand stocking, allocation, fronting and facing, be able to use forklift or pallet jack.

Responsibilities:
- Interview, hire, and train new stockers, warehouseman and custodial employees
- Develop and implement strategies to increase production in day and night stocking
- Schedule employees and staff within production levels for cases
- Ensure shelves are properly stocked and products are displayed per PWS (Performance Work Statement)
- Ensure warehouse is performing all PWS standards. Floors must meet PWS standards
- Manage payroll and budget for the Commissary of stockers, warehouseman and custodians daily
- Work with Government personal and do minor quality controls
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge and productivity levels
- Supervise grocery department staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized commissary

- Train night stockers to achieve 50 cases per hour stocking

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the commissary and merchandise
- Proven experience in management, preferably in a commissary or grocery store setting
- Be capable to staff employees and budget time to get production levels higher
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing terms
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer systems for payroll schedules and counting cases stocked or warehoused.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

This position requires stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions. Must be able to pick up at least 75 pounds and move from pallets to shelf locations.
