Customer Segment Manager jobs in Texas

Customer Segment Manager is responsible for all customer segment group research including extracting customer data and analyzing profiles to determine market segment requirements. Develops targeted product offerings or marketing campaigns based on customer profiles. Being a Customer Segment Manager provides information to sales and marketing teams to assist in the promotion of the organization's goods and/or services. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Customer Segment Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Customer Segment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Customer Segment Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     YOUR ROLE

    • Our extensive product portfolio serves markets from construction, industrial, marine, military, and mining to municipalities, offshore drilling and production, energy distribution and transmission, and refining.
    • The Process (downstream / refining and petrochemicals) Sales manager must possess a clear understanding of the refining, or petrochemicals maintenance segments, with a proven track record of revenue growth with end users and through indirect channels- leveraging a clear and value-added channel management approach.
    • Lead and coach a team of 4-6 Technical Sales Specialists while also being a hands-on manager.
    • Primarily responsible for executing the company’s sales strategy through leadership of the sales team in identifying, prioritizing, developing and securing new business opportunities, clients and profitable revenue streams in the downstream / refining and petrochemicals sectors in North America.
    • The Process Sales Manager role requires active coordination and collaboration with engineering, inside sales, and operations resources.
    • The position requires a blend of sales leadership, senior level presence, solid contract management and sharp business acumen.
    • Develop account strategies and tactics to optimize channel performance and maximize account engagement. 

    YOUR SKILLS

    • Bachelor's degree required in business or science. Engineering preferred. 
    • Ability to maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to company and client safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
    • Deliver and exceed established revenue targets in the downstream and refining and petrochemicals market.  
    • Drive sales team to high performance of sales execution. 
    • Support the overall strategic vision of the downstream/ refining and petrochemicals segment.
    • Ability to forecast and report out regularly to team and upper leadership as well as presenting the sales funnel. 
    • Apply technical expertise in business development and sales dialogue with clients to elevate clients’ understanding of the value inherent in company’s capability and capacity. 
    • Identify and prioritize attractive new client opportunities and drive profitable market penetration with target accounts.
    • Provide and keep current competitive analyses. 
    • Build industry visibility for company’s technical midstream capabilities through participation in and/or leadership of industry standards committees, conference white paper preparation and presentation, etc.
    • Collaborate with functional groups when applicable to ensure coordinated execution in all aspects of clients’ experience from initial sales lead to project close-out. 
    • Ability to work effectively with channel partners and service companies applying composite products. 

    The salary for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 plus sales commission. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
