Customer Segment Manager is responsible for all customer segment group research including extracting customer data and analyzing profiles to determine market segment requirements. Develops targeted product offerings or marketing campaigns based on customer profiles. Being a Customer Segment Manager provides information to sales and marketing teams to assist in the promotion of the organization's goods and/or services. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Customer Segment Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Customer Segment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Customer Segment Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     With a remote-first work culture, the majority of the work will be done remotely. One week each month, there is a requirement to work 2-3 days onsite in our Batesville, IN location.

    Your Role at Batesville:

    As a Manager, Customer Segment Strategy Insights, you will be responsible for managing a team of analyst that directly support the Sales & Marketing business functions at Batesville. This position will establish processes for intake and prioritization of insights analysis that support the strategic objectives of the Marketing and Sales organizations. These analytical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, forecasting, budgeting, planning, report generation and result analysis, with effective interaction between the Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functional departments. The manager facilitates requirements from business strategy to cross-functional colleagues within the Business Intelligence team to ensure alignment.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Leads a team of analysts that support the segment marketing teams. Provides career advice and empathic coaching to drive excellence within the Strategic Insights team. Collaborates across other strategic insights pods and business intelligence functions to develop and share best practices in developing a high-functioning team.
    • Work with the Sales & Marketing Strategy owners to prioritize projects across team members ensuring a balanced workload that meets critical timelines. Establishes and implements processes for alignment within Sales & Marketing. Works cross functionally to lead the standardization of business intelligence tools that yields meaningful and actionable insights. Supports monthly reporting processes for company initiatives and tactics.
    • Collaborates with team on analytical needs and requirements to generate strategic insights. Works with business leaders to identify relevant key performance metrics demonstrating growth and opportunities for ongoing review. Provides insight through analysis and effectively communicate and support via standardized format of visual charts and key facts/assumptions.
    • Manages and facilitates projects on CRM / process-related initiatives and serve as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, IT, and BI teams in identifying and leveraging analytical support tools for the organization.
    • Completes ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned. These may include company and/or departmental initiatives.
    • Other duties as required.

    What You’ll Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a business or technology related field; or equivalent from a college or university; and 7 to 10 years related analytical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3 to 5 years leadership experience.
    • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
    • Proficiency in analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making and business strategy.
    • Knowledge of statistical methodology and tools to rigorously analyze data, provide recommendations, and derive actionable insights.
    • Strong understanding of Sales & Marketing business functions to help drive relevant key performance indicators.
    • Strong empathic leadership skills to help motivate while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
    • Strong critical thinking skills, and experience troubleshooting problems and proposing effective solutions to optimize Business Intelligence/Strategic Insights processes and systems.
    • Experience with large data ecosystems in the cloud and/or on premises.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills.
    • Intermediate Microsoft Excel (ex: pivot tables, complex formulas, modeling).
    • Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Nice to Haves:

    • Development of insights using Business Intelligence and Analysis Software (PowerBI, Cognos, Tableau, Python, R).
    • Data visualization and analysis expertise.
    • Marketing automation and CRM Software (Oracle Eloqua, Oracle Sales Cloud, SalesForce.com).
    • ERP Software (JDEdwards, SAP).
