Cytotechnologist jobs in Virginia

Actalent is hiring a full time Cytotechnologist in Chantilly, Virginia.

Job Description:

• Perform moderate and high complexity testing.
• Analyze, review, and report test results and quality control results and takes remedial action when indicated; ensure specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to include departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety.
• Responsible for quality, efficiency and safety in the performance of laboratory functions
• Assists with development and resolves problems and documents corrective actions
• Assists with development and modification of procedures and assumes additional responsibilities when appropriate

Skills:

ASCP, CLIA, Cytotechnologist, MLT, Thinprep

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Surepath Certification is preferred
• ASCP and Thinprep Certification is required
• 2-3 years of experience is preferred BUT not required
