Duties
- You will perform equipment inspections, system diagnostics, and malfunction troubleshooting procedures to identify the proper adjustment and repair tasks to return the equipment to a safe and acceptable operational status.
- You will perform scheduled preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with the manufacturer's guidance, the supervisor's instructions, and acceptable trade practices.
- You will assist in the performance of complete corrective repair of equipment systems and subsystems to make the equipment safe and an acceptable operating condition.
- You will maintain equipment such as rescue apparatus, boom, tank and pumper, street sweeper, vacuum and refuel trucks, airfield support equipment, and other equipment that may have been modified and/or equipped to perform specialized functions.
- You will will be aware of and confirm to safety standards, environmental compliance regulations , organizational standard operating procedures , shop operating procedures , and typical industry practices.
