Data Warehousing Manager manages the daily activities of the team responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems and projects. Oversees data design and the creation of database architecture and data repositories. Being a Data Warehousing Manager ensures that reporting, modeling, and ETL projects and initiatives are supported fully and run smoothly. Installs processes for auditing data warehouses and ensuring data quality. Additionally, Data Warehousing Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Data Warehousing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Data Warehousing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Key job responsibilities
    The successful candidate will be operationally responsible for several of Amazon.com's Data Centers during the day shift. Some high-level responsibilities include:
    • Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
    • Routinely review ticket queue for large events and address accordingly
    • Coordinate change management resources
    • Guide, train and educate data staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
    • Manage and deliver mid-size projects
    • Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
    • Manage a diverse team of data technicians with varying skills
    • Provide weekly report to the data center manager
    • Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations
    • Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
    • Host weekly staff meetings
    • Write and deliver performance reviews for staff
