Database Administration Manager manages the administration of an organization's database. Analyzes the organization's database needs and develops a long-term strategy for data storage. Being a Database Administration Manager establishes policies and procedures related to data security and integrity and monitors and limits database access as needed. Oversees the design, maintenance and implementation of the systems that manage an internal database. Additionally, Database Administration Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Database Administration Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Database Administration Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association is recruiting for an Administration Manager to lead our administrative support team in our Asheville, NC office. Key responsibilities for this position include:

    • Providing leadership, feedback, coaching and employee development for a team of six,
    • Managing facilities for NTCA’s Asheville office location,
    • Supporting internal benefits operations area with administrative tasks and projects,
    • Coordinating registration and materials preparation for financial education seminars for NTCA’s member companies and participants in NTCA retirement plans,
    • Evaluating existing work processes and recommending enhancement to achieve process improvements.

    This position requires leadership experience, experience with facilities management, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with spreadsheets and database applications. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience and a high degree of familiarity with Microsoft products.
