Database Warehouse Analyst jobs in Maryland

Description

We are looking for a Database Analyst to join our team in the non-profit industry, based in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be expected to work with various databases, specifically Airtable, to extract, transfer, and analyze data. This role also involves creating new database templates and ensuring the smooth transition of data from one system to another.

Responsibilities:
Utilize Airtable and similar cloud-based platforms to manage and manipulate data
Extract data from existing databases and transfer to new systems
Create new templates to facilitate effective data management
Collaborate with team members to identify and address data-related needs
Use your understanding of cloud computing to enhance our data management practices
Maintain thorough documentation of all data extraction and transfer processes
Use Microsoft SQL Server and other tools to analyze and interpret data
Ensure the integrity and security of all data handled
Resolve any issues or challenges related to the database systems
Continually monitor and update databases as necessary.

Requirements

Proficiency in database management and related software such as Microsoft SQL Server and Airtable.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Knowledge and experience in cloud computing and cloud databases.
Proven ability to document procedures and create system-level documentation.
Prior experience in a non-profit organization is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Understanding of data privacy standards and regulations.
Experience in data models and reporting packages.
Ability to analyze large datasets.
Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
