ARG Communications, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Level Cabling Technician with THREE or more years of experience. Responsibilities will include fieldwork, installing and servicing structured cabling, cat5e, cat6e, cat6, fiber splicing, fiber cabling, and phone risers.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for installation of cabling infrastructure and termination in new or existing buildings.

• Structured fiber, data, and voice cabling.
• Cabling for video surveillance systems.
• Cabling for wireless access points.
• Responsible for testing and troubleshooting of cable.
• Mounting network racks and cabinets.
• Mounting and positioning network and surveillance equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities are required by this job including close vision.
• Must be able to operate a scissor lift.
• The employee will be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and/or crawl.
• Must have good balance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade School or Associate's Degree preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of the telecommunications and/or video surveillance industry.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Be customer-service oriented, and show professionalism at all times.
