What You Will Do:
The Supervisor of Continuing Medical Education (CME) manages Valley Health (VH) and state-level CME program needs assessments to develop and implement evidence-based physician educational activities. Regularly evaluates the effectiveness of CME activities based on physician performance, competence, or patient outcomes data. Provides leadership to program assistant and manages vendors, and volunteers. Communicates appropriately with representatives from the American College for Continuing Medical Education, Medical Society of Virginia, VH Executive and Senior Executives, Service Line Directors, Departmental Managers, and educational partners.
What You Will Bring:
Education
Bachelors in education, nursing, or other allied health profession or related experience required.
Experience
Minimum (8) years of healthcare/medical experience in managed accredited medical education programs, developed outreach and educational project management required.
Experience managing administrative, budgetary, personnel, organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving functions of a program required.
Experience with commercial solicitations and criteria standards to support independent educational grants and activity vendor opportunities for VH CME participants, state medical society CME activities, and community public health events required.
Certification & Licensures
Successful completion of Accreditation Counsil for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)/Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) Survey for accreditation required.
Qualifications
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of physician continuing education application where the outcomes affect physician performance, competence, and the community at large.
Experience in development and implementation of Continuing Medical Education Program Policies and Procedures in accordance with the Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) Survey Criteria.
Experience in meeting/event planning including marketing for events.
