Dean of Education manages administrative functions of the college of education. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Education leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Education requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Dean of Education manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Education typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Nursing services and therapies are integrated into the classroom with the emphasis on teaming with classroom staff to meet the objectives of each students Individualized Education Plan.Instructional Assistants assist professional staff with all aspects of program management including classroom, student support and provision of therapy services. Specific Duties: Work with a classroom teacher in an academic support role. Collaborate with professional staff to ensure the safety of the students in all environments. Instructional Assistants may be required to assist students with toileting and diapering.
This position also requires assistance with mealtimes, hygiene including changing, and physically assisting students in the classroom (positioning students, assisting with orthotics, etc.). Modify materials based on student needs. Participate in training in relevant areas.
