The Campus Dean of Students is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the campus's student affairs/services functions in close collaboration with the campus Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the CT State administration. Through collaborative work with the campus leadership team, the Dean of Students ensures that all out-of-classroom campus services operate effectively and develops strong relationships with staff and faculty. They shall ensure that students can access all buildings and services necessary to support student success at the campus.

Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.).
Master’s degree in an appropriately related higher education field with four (4) or more years of managerial experience in Student Affairs/Higher Education, including two (2) years of supervisory experience or a combination of education, training and experience which would provide the competencies required for successful performance of the position’s essential duties.
