The Dean of Students is responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the academic, physical, emotional, and social well-being of all students. This leadership role requires collaborating with various stakeholders, including faculty, staff, parents, and students, to create a safe and supportive learning environment. 

The Dean of Students is responsible for: 

• Building and sustaining positive partnerships with students and their families to promote a positive school culture and foster a sense of belonging  
• Overseeing the implementation of the school's policies and procedures related to student behavior and discipline 
• Developing and implementing initiatives that promote student engagement, character development, leadership development and social-emotional learning in collaboration with the US counselors  
• Reinforcing policies and procedures regarding student attendance 
• Conducting parent meetings to foster partnership between home and school 
• Managing student discipline cases, including conducting investigations, implementing appropriate consequences, and maintaining accurate documentation 
• Serving as a resource for students and families, providing support and guidance as needed 
• Planning and overseeing Upper School traditions and events  

The ideal candidate will possess: 

• Master's degree in educational leadership, education or related field 
• Previous experience in a leadership role in a school setting, preferably as a dean of students or assistant principal 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders 
• Knowledge of best practices in student support services, character development, and social-emotional learning 
• Familiarity with current trends and issues in education, including diversity, equity, and inclusion 
• Ability to make sound decisions and handle confidential information with discretion 
• Passion for working with students and supporting their overall well-being and success
