Dental Hygienist under the direct supervision of a dentist, cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments. Performs routine examination and assessment of dental health. Being a Dental Hygienist feels lymph nodes under patient's chin to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate presence of oral cancer. Feels and visually examines gums for sores and signs of disease. Additionally, Dental Hygienist provides instruction, guidance, and coaching to patients about methods to improve dental health. May take Radiographs or x-rays. Typically requires an associate degree in dental hygiene. Meets licensing requirements as a Dental Hygienist for the state. Radiography/x-ray certification per state guidelines. Basic Life Support certification (BLS.) Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Dental Hygienist independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job.     Dr. Wendy Spektor is seeking a talented and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join their team of oral healthcare professionals. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and preventative care while delivering an exceptional patient experience. 

    The primary role of the Registered Dental Hygienist is to support our clinicians in providing comprehensive oral care for our patients. This role will report to the Owner Doctor of the practice. The hourly wage range for this position is $60-$70 hr.


    Key responsibilities

    · Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planning, prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, polish, and debridement.

    · Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and screenings.

    · Take and record radiographic images.

    · Educate patients on oral hygiene and home care.

    · Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, findings, and progress.

    · Partner with clinicians to ensure optimal patient care.

    · Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment.


    Benefits

    • $1,500 Sign on bonus - $500 paid upon hire and $1000 paid after successful completion of 6-month probationary period, must be full time

    Requirements

     

    · High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent

    · Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.

    · Valid and current certifications, licenses, and registrations as mandated by applicable state and federal law.

    · Experience with dental software and electronic health records.

    · Compassionate patient centric approach.

    · Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

    · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    · Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
