The Jasper County Economic Development Organization (JCEDO) is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Tourism and Community Development Coordinator. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in administering grants and work closely with local organizations. This individual will help promote and develop community events, while also creating marketing and promotional materials to showcase Jasper County's tourism and quality of life assets. Additionally, you will be responsible for hosting small business development training and providing resources to support local entrepreneurs.

Recommended Education Background:
Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge of local government operations and community dynamics is advantageous.
Having previous experience in event coordination, community engagement, grant writing or related roles is beneficial.
Proficiency in marketing and promotional strategies as well as relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Wordpress, Adobe PDF, and graphic design tools.
Miscellaneous Requirements
This position may require:
Occasional night and/or weekend attendance to local events and meetings.
Driving to locations within a 5 hour radius of the JCEDO.
Occasional overnight or extended travel.
