Diagnostic Imaging Manager plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments which may include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director. The Diagnostic Imaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Position Highlights: Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time, 20 hours weekly Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm or 9:30am to 6:00pm On-call schedule - weekends and holidays are on-call only What you will need: A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher required. Critical Care experience preferred. Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required. A relatively high level of analytical ability is required. Incumbents must collect, analyze, and interpret data in order to solve problems requiring a professional level of knowledge in a specific discipline and/or design relatively complex clinical or administrative systems and programs. A relatively high level of communication skills is required in order to lead, teach, and persuade others and/or interact effectively with others in very difficult situations. Work is not completely standardized. Assignments are often received in the form of results expected, due dates, and general procedures to follow. Work requires the ability to walk or stand for an hour of more at a time, lift or carry objects weighing more than 20 pounds, push or pull laundry or supply carts, gurneys or wheelchairs, lift and position patients, proofread and check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter, retrieve or transform words or data, closely examine specimens, images, or reports. What you will do: Under general supervision, renders professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician’s treatment plans in order to provide quality patient care. In doing so, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes deviations, administers prescribed drugs, provides treatments, observes patients’ progress, records pertinent observations and reports reactions to drugs and treatments and takes follow up action as needed. Develops or assists in developing patient treatment plans. Assists physicians with cases, procedures or examinations, functions as a team player to fulfill unit goals. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
