Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director. Summary
The Diagnostic Scheduler is responsible for the courteous and prompt scheduling of all patient diagnostic testing appointments ordered by physicians and efficient management of the MRI schedule as well as providing patient care and assisting in duties related to the MRI department.
Responsibilities

Performance Standards
1. Knowledge of medical practice and care to assist in giving patient care.
2. Knowledge of MRI and other diagnostic testing procedures, safety-related issues and MRI protocols.
3. Knowledge in insurance verification and pre-certification
4. Skill in obtaining and maintaining accurate records in all aspects of medical office.
5. Ability to communicate clearly.
6. Ability to initiate and complete tasks related to job duties without direct request of supervisor.
7. Ability to work and coordinate with the director of clinical services, front desk lead, physicians, MRI techs, clinical and front desk staff.
8. Ability to multi-task with phones, patients and other responsibilities
9. Be proficient in all office, computer, organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
10. Maintains strictest confidentiality of patient information and office business practices
