Diagnostic Imaging Manager plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments which may include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director. The Diagnostic Imaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Overview:
Assures the delivery of safe and high quality imaging patient care. Responsible for the management and operations of imaging department(s) within the Mercy Springfield Orthopedic Hospital, Mercy Orthopedic Clinic locations, West Kearney imaging, and Mercy Branson clinic. Provide collaborative clinical oversight of West Kearney Lab services. Insures efficient utilization of available resources and mets productivity and/or financial goals. Meetscustomer satisfaction goals. Works collaboratively and effectively with other administrative personnel, physicians, and staff from other areas throughout the Health System to enhance communication, share pertinent data, and improve processes across the continuum. Performs duties andresponsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
