MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet sanitation standards.
Must be able to provide point of service meal delivery. Ensure quality and quantity of all food delivery is ensured.
Demonstrate correct safety techniques.
Respect and take care of facility equipment and is not wasteful of supplies.
Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions.
Complies with privacy practices and protects resident’s health information.
Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations.
Follow facility policies and procedures. Continue growth and expand job knowledge.
Secure, evaluate and record nutritional history of residents.
Refer residents at nutritional risk to Registered Dietician.
Maintain adequate and accurate records for all residents.
Educate residents in proper nutrition.
Communicate with nursing staff and physician to ensure proper nutritional care.
Represents dining services at Interdisciplinary Resident Care meeting.
Ensure menu accuracy and quality by overseeing delivery of trays.
Review modified selective menus to adhere to dietary guidelines.
Make changes to the resident preference list as necessary.
Enter any changes in textures/diet as needed.
Assist with food preparation, tray line and ware washing as necessary.
Print Resident tray tickets, daily menus for following day.
