Dietitian Supervisor supervises staff that plans, prepares, and delivers meals to patients. Consults and coordinates with nutritionists to ensure all menus comply with general dietetic standards and fulfill prescribed patients nutritional and therapeutic requirements. Being a Dietitian Supervisor oversees all food service operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Dietitian Supervisor typically reports to a manager. Requires Certified Dietary Manager(CDM). The Dietitian Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Registered Dietitian for a dual Outpatient and Inpatient setting, where you'll play a vital role in helping patients improve their health through proper nutrition. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, you'll deliver exceptional care and contribute to patients' overall well-being.
This position has a SIGN ON BONUS of $8000 and is located in Hermiston, OR
JOB DUTIES:
· Coordinate all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of hospitalized patients
· Provide individual and group outpatient nutrition education and MNT
· Evaluate, interpret, monitor and document nutritional status of patients
· Provide appropriate and timely documentation that summarizes the nutrition care plan in a patient’s medical record, including nutrition assessment, diagnosis, plan, implementation, and progress towards goals
· Deliver nutrition education to patient and family members on appropriate food selections
· Perform the duties of instructor for the nutrition portion of the group diabetes education program
QUALIFICATIONS:
- RD credential
- Current OR state license as a Registered Dietitian or willing to obtain license
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferred
- Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist, or desire/ability to obtain within 2 years of hire, preferred.
