Digital Collection Librarian jobs in Bakersfield, CA
Digital Collection Librarian maintains a library's digital collection of books, serials, documents, audiovisuals, or other materials, and assists groups and individuals in locating, obtaining and using materials. Trains others in the creation or preservation of digital resources and the use of the library's digital system(s). Being a Digital Collection Librarian is responsible for the library's open source projects and procures licenses for digital content. Interacts with IT staff in selecting/developing, implementing and maintaining the library's technical infrastructure. Additionally, Digital Collection Librarian requires a master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school in a related field. Typically reports to a director. The Digital Collection Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Digital Collection Librarian typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. - Account information
- Case number information
- Adobe Reader issues
- Brower issues
- Technical computer issues
- Internet connectivity - Set up equipment for employee use
- Image computers using a variety of methods
- Install and perform minor repairs to computers and peripheral equipment within the office premises
- Must have strong networking skills- IDF/MDF, switches, routers, access point
Experience:
- 3-6 years of experience in software, hardware and network
- Provide technical assistance for user questions/issues on Windows 7, 8 and 10 along Microsoft Office 2010 through Office 365, M365
- Experience with of Windows, M365, PC and Printer configuration
- Strong customer service skills, detail oriented, and deadline driven
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening skills
