Digital Collection Librarian maintains a library's digital collection of books, serials, documents, audiovisuals, or other materials, and assists groups and individuals in locating, obtaining and using materials. Trains others in the creation or preservation of digital resources and the use of the library's digital system(s). Being a Digital Collection Librarian is responsible for the library's open source projects and procures licenses for digital content. Interacts with IT staff in selecting/developing, implementing and maintaining the library's technical infrastructure. Additionally, Digital Collection Librarian requires a master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school in a related field. Typically reports to a director. The Digital Collection Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. As a Debt Collection Specialist, you will negotiate and set up payment plans with individuals who have outstanding bills. You will make outbound telephone calls, understand each borrower's financial situation and work with them to establish a payment solution.
Your specific duties will include:
- Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls regarding collections and billing inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service by resolving customer issues and answering questions
- Negotiating the best possible payment arrangement if the consumer cannot pay their balance in full.
- Process payments and update account information accurately
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions and transactions
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in collections is highly preferred
- Proficient in basic math skills and financial concepts
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult customers professionally
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Spanish speaking a plus
