Digital Collection Librarian maintains a library's digital collection of books, serials, documents, audiovisuals, or other materials, and assists groups and individuals in locating, obtaining and using materials. Trains others in the creation or preservation of digital resources and the use of the library's digital system(s). Being a Digital Collection Librarian is responsible for the library's open source projects and procures licenses for digital content. Interacts with IT staff in selecting/developing, implementing and maintaining the library's technical infrastructure. Additionally, Digital Collection Librarian requires a master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school in a related field. Typically reports to a director. The Digital Collection Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Collection Associates is seeking an P/T or F/T experienced administrative assistant. Hours are very flexible, no weekends and we can adjust for the right candidate. Candidates should be experienced with standard accounting procedures, Quickbooks & MicroSoft experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support to executives and senior management
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Conduct research and gather information for various projects
- Assist with data entry and document management
- Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries
- Assist with event planning and coordination
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications on behalf of executives
- Perform general office duties such as filing, organizing, and maintaining records
- Assist with proofreading documents for accuracy and clarity
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an executive assistant or similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications
- Knowledge of office procedures and equipment
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with project coordination is a plus
- Familiarity with DocuSign or other electronic signature platforms is a plus
