Digital Collection Librarian jobs in Muncie, IN
Digital Collection Librarian maintains a library's digital collection of books, serials, documents, audiovisuals, or other materials, and assists groups and individuals in locating, obtaining and using materials. Trains others in the creation or preservation of digital resources and the use of the library's digital system(s). Being a Digital Collection Librarian is responsible for the library's open source projects and procures licenses for digital content. Interacts with IT staff in selecting/developing, implementing and maintaining the library's technical infrastructure. Additionally, Digital Collection Librarian requires a master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school in a related field. Typically reports to a director. The Digital Collection Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Digital Collection Librarian typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. - Coordinate and facilitate the collection of specimens to be processed at our laboratory
- Provide instruction to patients on how to provide urine, oral, nasal and/or blood specimens.
- Proper labeling of specimens, completion of requisitions and all other needed information.
- Prepare specimens and requisition forms, including packaging of the specimens into biohazard bags for shipping.
- Responsible for ensuring samples are shipped to lab in the appropriate amount of time and supporting records/manifests are maintained.
- Obtain billing information, including copies of patient insurance cards and demographic information.
- Ensuring the accurate completion of requisition forms and assisting with all missing information requests when needed.
