Arena is a rapidly growing political mail and digital firm seeking a Mail Shop Manager to join our Print Production Team. We work almost exclusively with conservative political clients. Due to our high-profile clientele, the culture at Arena is fast paced, ever changing and highly collaborative.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As an Inkjet Operator, you will play a crucial role in the printing process within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain inkjet printers to ensure efficient and high-quality production of printed materials. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Printer Operation: Operate inkjet printers according to established procedures and production schedules. Load materials into the printer, set up print jobs, and monitor the printing process to ensure proper operation and adherence to quality standards.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on printed materials to ensure accuracy, color consistency, and overall print quality. Make adjustments to printer settings as necessary to address any issues and maintain consistency throughout the printing process.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks on inkjet printers, including cleaning printheads, replacing ink cartridges, and performing minor repairs. Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the printing process and take appropriate action to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Material Handling: Handle printed materials with care to prevent damage and ensure proper packaging and labeling according to specifications. Maintain organized inventory of printing supplies, including ink cartridges, substrates, and other consumables.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials, waste disposal, and equipment operation. Comply with company policies and industry regulations related to printing and production processes.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of production activities, including print job settings, maintenance tasks, and quality control checks. Complete production reports and documentation as required by management.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the production team, including supervisors, technicians, and quality control personnel, to coordinate workflow and ensure smooth operation of the printing process. Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or concerns that may arise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience operating inkjet printers or similar printing equipment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to printing operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to perform various tasks.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for operating printing equipment and handling materials.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
