Job Summary:
The Director of International Admissions will develop and lead a coordinated and collaborative campus approach to global initiatives and create and implement a comprehensive international student enrollment plan. This position will work closely with key academic and administrative campus partners to recruit international students from around the world and support their transition to Furman University while assessing and implementing recruitment and retention strategies tied to the international student enrollment plan.
Job Description:
Major Responsibilities:

To manage global initiatives and the International Enrollment Management plan. Develop and manage all facets of the University's international recruitment and admissions program.

Work closely with faculty and staff to develop strategic plans and executable activities that support the recruitment, retention and reentry of international students at both the Undergraduate and Graduate levels.

Meet annual enrollment and net tuition revenue goals.

Act as liaison between different departments for their international recruitment needs and process all international student applications including the evaluation of foreign academic credentials.

Establish an efficient international student application to enrollment process, ensure applications are done in a timely manner and in line with established best practices.

Utilize university information systems effectively to monitor and analyze relevant data to achieve enrollment targets and evaluate strategies.

Ensure an efficient international student communication plan is established and maintained within the Slate CRM

Develop and maintain portfolio of international student marketing materials in collaboration with University Communications

Act as primary liaison and cultivate partnerships with other agencies that service the recruitment and enrollment of international students.

Explore exchange agreements with foreign universities to increase the number of incoming and outgoing exchange students.

Engage in recruitment activities internationally, extensive travel within territories to meet scheduled recruitment appointments and activities, some weekend, evening, and overnight stays are required.
- Working closely with the Office of Study Away and International Education, Student Services and the Office of Experiential Learning and Global Engagement to ensure alignment of recruitment goals and plans with the overall institutional international enrollment strategy.

Assist with general prospective student events and outreach when needed.
Assist with new international student orientation and other activities and events when needed.
Additional Responsibilities:

Participate in professional activities that occur on weekends and evenings outside of the established work day and assist with some domestic recruitment initiatives.

Conduct presentations at various, on and off-campus recruitment functions.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
-
Five - Seven years of relevant experience required.
-
Ability to provide effective intercultural leadership in a multicultural setting to achieve enrollment goals.

Ability to independently organize and carry out domestic and international recruitment travel as indicated in the annual international recruitment plan
-
Working knowledge of SEVIS and F-1 regulations required; knowledge of other student-eligible non-immigrant visa categories preferred.

Familiarity with and adherence to NAFSA's Statement of Ethical Principles and NACAC's Statement of Principles of Good Practice.

Multilingual a plus.
